Artwork setup and file requirements
Setting your file up correctly means it prints beautifully first time, with no back and forth. Choose your product below for the exact requirements. A few things hold true across almost everything we make.
The essentials, wherever you are printing
- Colour: giclée fine art prints and canvas are worked in Adobe RGB (1998). Everything else is CMYK, on the Coated FOGRA39 profile. Whatever you send, embed the colour profile.
- Resolution: send the best quality you have. As a rule, aim for 300 ppi at the finished size. Large-format work is fine at less, because it is viewed from a distance.
- Edges: keep important content away from the edges, and run backgrounds off the edge (bleed) on anything that is trimmed or cut.
- Proof: we send a proof before we print or make anything. What you approve is what we produce, so please check it carefully.
